From Neglected To Spectacular: Complete House Renovation

Building Work and Interior Construction
The house renovation began with extensive demolition and reconstruction work. The project required the complete removal of existing kitchen infrastructure, including all cabinets, the hot water cylinder cupboard, and pantry storage. Following the demolition and preparation work, a new, modern kitchen with an island was installed, transforming the space into a contemporary culinary and social hub that maximises both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

The bathroom renovation represented one of the most technically challenging aspects of this house renovation. All existing fixtures were removed, followed by complete wall replacement using aqua line gib board specifically designed for wet areas. Tiling work focused on high-moisture areas, with the bathroom receiving floor-to-ceiling tile installation combined with comprehensive waterproofing.

The laundry area received similar comprehensive treatment, with complete wall and ceiling gib lining replacement alongside new flooring installation.

Interior Finishing and Painting
A critical component of any successful house renovation is achieving professional-grade interior finishes. This project included comprehensive preparation work, including stopping and plastering walls and ceilings throughout the house. The painting scope encompassed all walls, ceilings, doors, door frames, and window frames in the renovated areas. This comprehensive approach ensures visual cohesion throughout the transformed spaces.

Plumbing and Gas Infrastructure Modernisation
Modern house renovation projects must address aging plumbing and gas systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with current codes. This project included complete replacement of the hot water system, transitioning from a traditional cylinder to a modern gas infinity system.

The bathroom plumbing installation featured contemporary fixtures including a new shower mixer system, back-to-wall toilet, and customer-supplied vanity with mixer. Kitchen plumbing upgrades included dishwasher connections and a new kitchen mixer, while the laundry received washing machine connections without a traditional tub setup.

Flooring and Surface Treatments
The bedroom floors received high-quality Cabrillo 100% solution dyed nylon cut pile carpet, chosen for its durability and appearance retention. This residential-grade carpet provides comfort and longevity in private living spaces. The front and back entrances received tile treatment, providing durable, easy-to-maintain surfaces in high-traffic areas. 

The kitchen splashback tiling completed the hard surface installations, offering both protection and aesthetic appeal while complementing the new modern kitchen with island design.

Exterior Renovation
The exterior transformation began with a fresh coat of paint that instantly modernized the home’s curb appeal and protected it from the elements. The comprehensive landscaping overhaul of the front section complemented this dramatic change, addressing what had previously been an uneven, neglected area. By bringing in quality topsoil and carefully leveling the entire area, the space was given a solid foundation for improvement. The addition of attractive paving created defined pathways and functional outdoor areas, turning what was once a problematic patch of ground into a welcoming entrance that perfectly complements the home’s refreshed exterior and adds significant value to the property.
